Quincy has been selected to participate in the Solarize Mass Program sponsored by the Mass CEC and Mass DOER. Solarize Mass seeks to increase the adoption of small-scale solar electricity in participating communities through a competitive tiered pricing structure that increases the savings for everyone as more home and business owners sign contracts. This initiative is spearheaded by volunteers and members of the Quincy Climate Action Network, in collaboration with the City of Quincy.

We will be working very hard with you to schedule your assessment, receive, review and sign a solar contract. Our new program deadline is now August 31, 2015, so we will work with you every step of the way to get this done expediently. Thanks for sharing this program with your neighbors; we have now reached our Tier 6 goal of 400KW of solar under contract in Quincy!

SOLARIZE QUINCY is a volunteer initiative run by Quincy residents. Our goal is to help Quincy home and business owners install discounted solar panels during the Solarize program period from January to August 2015. We are committed to increasing renewable energy sources and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in our local community.

Solarize Massachusetts is a partnership between the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, the Department of Energy Resources Green Communities Division, local municipal officials and community volunteers. The program encourages the adoption of small scale solar projects through a group purchasing model combined with a grassroots education and outreach campaign.

Over 900 residents and business owners have signed contracts for small-scale solar electricity systems, while speaking with thousands more about the economic and environmental benefits of other clean energy technologies.
